Dr. Craig Schultz Joins RMS as Vice President of Product Management

Newark, CA – March 4, 2008 – Risk Management Solutions (RMS) today announced that Dr. Craig Schultz has joined the firm as vice president of product management. Dr. Schultz will play a central role in guiding the development of RMS’ global catastrophe modeling capabilities and will focus specifically on ensuring that the models enable robust decision making by RMS clients in the context of both the increasingly sophisticated use of models by the insurance industry as well as the inherent uncertainties in quantifying catastrophe risk. 

Dr. Schultz most recently served in a senior technology leadership position at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. During his 13 years at the lab, he led the development of risk models for Department of Defense and Department of Energy analysts across a broad range of environmental security and national security risk areas. Most recently, Dr. Schultz led the team that launched the laboratory’s advanced architectures testbed, assembling high-performance, next-generation software and hardware architectures for complex, data-intensive modeling applications.

Dr. Schultz holds a Doctoral degree in Geophysics-Seismology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS degree in Geophysics from the University of California at Riverside.
