RMS Hurricane Model Re-Certified by Florida Commission

Newark, CA – May 27, 2008 – Risk Management Solutions (RMS) announced today that the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (‘Commission’) has approved the RMS US (Florida) hurricane model version 6.0b.

Each year the Commission reviews hurricane models for use in residential rate filings with the Florida Department of Insurance. A version of the RMS hurricane model has been submitted and approved for use for eleven consecutive years.

The model is based on a long-term historical average of hurricane activity since 1900 to estimate future risk over the next five years.
